Tintoretto
The first day of October is shining brightly outside my window as I write this. The rose bush at the end of the garden is covered in a late flush of magenta blossoms, a dew-hung spider’s web across the window glistens with diamonds, and the birch and laurel leaves flutter, lambent with a light that seems to come from within.
